Ellie's 3rd Birthday - August 19th

I'll back this up a bit and share a little about Ellie's big day. It was a blast! Somehow, as if by miracle, we managed to find a party location that is louder, and has more kids hopped up on cake and soda than even Chucky Cheese... Yes, Monkey Joe's is THE place to party! It is a huge carpeted warehouse filled to the gills with inflatable slides, obstacle courses, moonwalks, etc. If it could be blown up and climbed, they had it! We stayed a few hours (until the adults could stand it no longer) and then came home for cake and presents. Ellie was the sweetest birthday girl ever... each present she opened, she ran over and gave a big hug to the giver. How can our baby be 3?... oh well, that will have to be another blog......

Love you!

The Groves Academy

School is in Full Swing!

Yeah! We are just finishing our second week of school, and I can't believe how much the girls have learned already! They are so awesome! Hannah is learning to write in cursive, and she already knows all the oceans and continents in the WORLD! Selah is learning to read, and it is amazing to see how quick she's picking it up. She has a "Word of the Day" (so far: do, some, many) and she is so proud of herself. Zahara is working on "same and different" and sequencing, she is a smart little cookie! Ellie Grace already knows all her shapes and colors, so we are having lots of coloring fun. Snack time is a favorite, so the girls take turns passing out healthy snacks and juice to their sisters.

Potty training is also in bloom, and Ellie is doing great! She wears big girl panties ALL day now! Yeah! She doesn't wear "shopping panties"... only "goodnight panties" at night... woohoo!

Hannah, Selah, and Zahara are all taking ballet this year. We found a new dance school, and I am SO pleased! It is a Christian school, and at the end of each class, they turn the lights down so the girls can do thier own worship dance. When the song ends, they all fall to thier knees and pray together. It is really cool!

As for the new baby, things are going very well. We go on September 30th to find out if it's a boy or a girl...

Love you all!
